Salvador Dalí, a name that echoes speaking of Surrealism in art, has created many drawings and paintings in his lifetime. Consisting of an invisible desire and powerful symbolism, Dalí portrayed what he feared for most of his life; the art of sexuality with a twisted sensibility. The Enlace Art Gallery in Serra de Daró presents four simultaneous exhibitions featuring the original works of the incomparable Salvador Dalí alongside three more artists, Nei Albertí, Tània Font, Alex Pallí. Starting on June 22, 2024, this exhibition can be visited until September 15.
The art display covers small-format works by the artists from Emporda handpicked by Mariana Costessich and Toni Álvarez de Arana, the Gallery manager and art director, respectively. Displaying artifacts from 1921 to 1979, including jewelry, this art display further allows you to look at the latest works of the sculptor, Tània Font (Palamós, 1978), which shows the turmoil of the feminine inner world.
At the main building, Nei Albertí (Sant Feliu de Guíxols, 1975) and Àlex Pallí, (Sant Feliu de Guíxols, 1972) present their work together, two hook artists whose pieces stand out in the crowd. Though the exhibition is majorly focused on the international artist, Dalí, the Gallery redoubled its commitment to local art without completely relying on international figures.
What moves the audience is the idea of exhibiting international artists to attract visitors and bring freshness through local art. With this, there is a promotion of new artists among the targeted beholder, a significant step by the gallery.
