According to the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, the median pay in 2023 for an architect is $93,310 annually compared to $80,180 in 2021 and $44.86 per hour compared to $38.55 per hour in 2021. It showed a growth of 7.39%.
In the 2023 sole year, there were 127,300 jobs for architects and as of 2023, there were 408,874 people in the workforce in the architecture domain with a growth of 2.32%.

In 2022, there were around 620,000 architects in Europe, equating to one architect for every 1000 people in Europe. The workforce has significantly increased by 20% in 2022 which compensated for the fall in the pandemic. The females also have increased significantly in the architect’s profession to 46% as of 2022 from 36% in 2012. Though the gender pay gap still exists by 17%, it has subsequently decreased to almost half of what it was ten years ago.
