Atlantis the Royal: Breaking Conventions of Building Architecture

Atlantis The Royal is one of the latest additions to Dubai Architecture that leaves the conventions of tall buildings behind with its modernism and clever planning. Take a tour!

Atlantis The Royal

I have been residing in an apartment for quite a while now, and surprisingly, my behavior, traits, and observations on certain things did change. A few months before, I thought this psychology and approach to things had something to do with time, specific conditions, or the so-called maturity that comes with age, but well, I was definitely wrong. Some of the great architects have emphasized again and again that the place you live in interacts with your mind and body, which is why the change. On connecting with more and more people on this topic, I found that apartments are a form of ugly architecture, which will typically isolate you from your mental well-being. For many architects, this might be a baseless allegation about the so-called tall buildings, but it’s true when it comes to people. In the 1920s, Le Corbusier, an architect, was given the task of making Parisian living better as it was overcrowded and dirty, for which he proposed elevated buildings or apartments as a solution. However, it wasn’t taken, but the apartment philosophy is thriving today. A notable aspect of these buildings is the fact that during some hours of the day, nothing is going on around you or on the streets. Our love for the old Indian streets is due to the inconsistency of streets in city planning and their alignment with shops, bars, and restaurants, which engages our vision and brain every single moment. When we don’t see things changing, our brain, which is in the habit of seeing simultaneous change, responds to this badly, disrupting our thought process. Hence, the flats we live in, have ugly and dull atmospheres. I simply thought that these tall buildings could not have been valued until I saw the marvelous Atlantis The Royal. Despite being a bigger building, every single room or place has its own identity, with beautiful landscapes and social activities, resulting in a perfectly modern building. Today, we are covering this project to simply commemorate this spirit of inventiveness, which is really significant in today’s world. So, let’s explore the structure!

Reinforced as one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, Atlantis The Royal (Dubai) offers one of the most unique experiences for guests. The building is a residential plus hotel program that provides a sense of community, unity, and social exposure while giving an enlarged view of the Gulf through its landscaped courts and terraces in the hotel rooms and outdoor space, private pools, and shaded gardens in the residential place. All the terraces step down towards one another so that they are appropriately linked through a sky bridge, the structure that gives an iconic silhouette. Over this sky bridge, there are pools, lounges, cabanas, and other amenities. Atlantis The Royal is located on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island, the Emirate’s premier resort destination. It complements the existing Atlantis, The Palm, itself an iconic building in the city. Combined, they form a resort and entertainment complex.

Exploring the Exteriors.

Looking at the exteriors, the marvelous hotel welcomes you with its spectacular design, great ventilation, and better landscaping design. Every block of the single structure has simple curves that welcome the viewer with serenity and tranquility. As a result of the gaps between each block, the architects have made sure that every room has the maximum amount of natural ventilation. One thing that really impressed me is the light layering over the building, making it look sophisticated and well-lit. Moving into interiors, the hotel cum residential structure is enormous, which makes it difficult for me to summarize based on pictures. Hence, to make it easy for you and me as well, let us move upon our two best residential options.

Signature Penthouses for Gigantic Vacation.

As we walk into the Penthouse section of Atlantis The Royal, there are around four choices, which we are going to walk in.

Now, all the penthouses have almost similar amenities except for their occupancy, space, and plan. The first one is the Royal Mansion. As the name suggests, this endless place is like a mansion, filled with modern amenities, giving you every vibe of a bloatocrat. There is a reason I use the term, Bloatocrat because you will be treated like a prince, whether you want to dine on freshly prepared, healthy dishes or enjoy the private foyer with 100-year-old olive trees and soaring ceilings that will leave you speechless. This two-level penthouse is luxurious with an open kitchen cum bar, master bedrooms (enough for 9 adults and 4 children), spacious living and dining with an open terrace and a pool with a view of the Arabian Sea, Palm Island, and the Dubai Skyline. In addition to the mesmerizing living space and bedroom, this fantastic penthouse has a private bar area, a library, and great entertainment as well. If you have a group of friends or even have a family, this penthouse is just perfect to book in the hotel. Now, for the two-bedroom penthouse with an open terrace of 209 square meters terrace with infinity pool, you can book The Panoramic Penthouse. It is equally beautiful, with two king beds and a large lounge to sit and enjoy. On a similar course, the Horizon penthouse offers every single thing and is appropriate for a couple or single person as it is 1 BHK. Lastly, if you are thinking of experiencing heaven on heights but in the jacuzzi, then check out Skyscape Penthouse, which is the best among the four choices. Personally, the Skyscape Penthouse throbbed in my heart because it is impressible and somewhat crazy with its space, amenities, views, and jacuzzi!

Suites to Stretch the Spine a Little More.

If there exists a second celestial on the lands of Dubai, then it is this modern and imminent suite, which comes in options as well according to your needs. The first one is Sky Pool Villa, which is mesmerizing with views of the Arabian Sea or Palm Islands and is enough spacious for three adults. With infinite boundaries of sightseeing, you can just literally swim in the blue sky in your own private infinity pool while your partner enjoys the sun lounger or you. You can invite friends or new acquaintances over for dinner at the dining table, which has enough space for six people. Don’t worry about the food, as the chef is ready to take care of it all. You are just to have more conversations! So, if you are looking for a cozy three-adult suite, then this is the perfect choice for a staycation. The other options are the Sky Terrace Suite and Junior Sky Terrace Suite, which don’t have pools but have breathtaking views from their balcony. The room space is sufficiently big with a lounge and bathroom, but it doesn’t have a huge terrace and pool.

Final Words.

Atlantis The Royal (Dubai) offers a lot to explore, but I’m leaving the discovery to you so that there are still surprises to find. However, to summarise the article, I have a few more words to say. A stay at this exquisite structure, which has exquisite architecture thanks to the minds of God-made architects and interior designers, is worth every cent. I hope you will enjoy your stay while absorbing the soulful architecture and hospitality.
